Every episode takes one serious game, simulation or playful method and the person behind it: its creator, or the facilitator who knows it best. You hear how it works step by step: the setup, the rounds, the debrief, and what changes on Monday. We talk about materials, group size, timing, the facilitation moves, and the debrief questions that turn an experience into learning. Most episodes end with the guest’s ultimate facilitation tip, and the show notes link every book, tool and community we mention.
I am Julian Kea, a facilitator and trainer of facilitators in Berlin. I started the podcast in December 2019 to learn from the people who design and run these methods, and to make their know-how usable in your next session. More than 50 episodes later, the range runs from the Ball Point Game, LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® and Scrum simulations to Kanban, escape rooms, Poetry for Neanderthals, change management games, Edu-LARP and gamification.
Recent episodes are in English. The early episodes include German-language conversations.
